Thank you to all who donated and helped to distribute bags at the Jefferson County Nursing Home. It was a wonderful blessing to see the smiles and joy that came from each resident who received a bag. We handed out 120 bags! Each and every resident got one. Thank you for your generosity and open hearts towards ministry.

2 Years - 2nd grade Sunday school class:Mrs. Susan Glover, Robbie and Samantha Satterfield
This class is for boys and girls who are 2 years old through kindergarten. Weekly studies are a combination of scriptural based lessons, games, music, and crafts. All activities and lessons are taught on the pre-school level and are considered to be the building blocks of a child's faith. Children will have a good understanding of the faith we have in Jesus Christ our Lord and will be willing and eager to learn more about him for years to come. Attendee's will be given a chance to learn their books of the Bible through song as well as know fun key facts about the bible. We learn the proper ways to use the bible and we begin to introduce prayer as a key aspect in each child's life. Each child is encouraged to be a light for Jesus as well as a friendly smile for those whom need it.
These children are encouraged to participate in AWANA and Bible Drill. Beginning stages of understanding their role in building Jesus' Church are evident. Many of these children will diligently seek out friends and family members and invite them to Sunday School, Worship Services and other church functions as they are working, even at this young age, to add members to God's Kingdom.
3rd-7th grade Sunday school class: Sallie Stidham
9th - 12th grade Sunday school Class: Scott Connatser
These classes are for boys and girls enrolled in grades seven through nine and ten through twelve. Our studies come straight from God's Word, by focusing on relevant topics or specific books from Scripture. The study consists of lecture and discussions. Books of the Bible are studied in their entirety.
Friends in Faith Sunday school class: Randall Allen and Sally Smith
There are no age restrictions for this class. Most members are between 18 and 45 consisting of singles and couples. The lessons are based on selected Bible texts and include Inductive Bible studies. The format is question and answer, but there is no "singling out". In addition to the lesson, prayer lists, and offerings make up the week to week class meeting time. The members of this class actively support our missions projects. Social activities include a Christmas party for members and guests, and an occasional dinner and appropriate movie.

Living Water Visitation:
The Living Water Visitation Program is one of our church's outreach ministries. Members of all ages from our church meet together at the designated time to go out into our community and to "share the Good News of Jesus Christ". Formal training is not necessary to participate but is available through our church. Check our church calendar for scheduled times. If you are interested in having us visit you, please contact us via email, phone or Facebook.
Children’s Church is a time set aside during the morning worship hour each Sunday morning. It begins at 10:00am. Mrs. Susan Glover is also a leader who ministers in this area. Children’s Church is designed for children ages 3-10. The children are separated in smaller groups according to ages after the lesson, snack, and music time for crafts and games. Our lessons are designed to reach all children by planting the seed of the gospel of Jesus Christ within their young hearts.
-Lesson-We are currently studying Exodus and The Tabernacle. God has called us to worship. How do we worship and where are just two of the questions we are exploring the answers to.
-Snacks-We offer a heavy snack (usually a sandwich) and a drink.
-Music-We also have a time of music where we learn sign language to go along with modern praise and worship songs.
-Crafts-Children are normally split up according to age groups and age appropriate crafts are assigned. We are not able to do a craft every week because of time constraints.
-Games-The games we play are centered around reinforcing the series we are studying at the time.
Youth Ministry: (Grades 7-9)
Teachers: Scott Connatser and Sallie Stidham
We offer many opportunities for youth of all ages to be involved. Wednesday Night Bible Study along with two Sunday School Classes and Bible Drill provide students with avenues to learn God's Words and apply them to their lives. There are also other opportunities to take advantage of such as Summer Youth Camp, concerts and events throughout the year, outings for bowling, go-carts, amusement parks and much, much more! Our youth group is comprised of active young men and young women who desire to make a difference for Jesus Christ. They are actively involved in collecting school supplies for children in our community, Operation Christmas Child, and Angel Tree gifts at Christmas. These enthusiastic leaders of the church of tomorrow demonstrate first-hand what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our community and our world.

Bible Drill:
Children's Bible Drill is open to all children in grades 3 through 6, although to compete they must be in at least the 4th grade. Children spend approximately twelve weeks learning all of the Books of the Bible, 10 Key Passages and where they are found in the Bible and they learn to recite 25 specific verses from memory . Individual goals are set and children are rewarded for reaching their goals with things such as Bibles engraved with their names, t-shirts, pizza parties and trips . Children practice and then compete in church, local and regional competitions. Children must obtain a minimum score to move on to the next round of competition.
Youth Bible Drill is the equivalent to Children's Bible Drill that is offered to our older students. Youth Bible Drillers are in grades 7 through 9. Participants in this program meet at the same time as Children's Bible Drill and work to expand their knowledge of verses pertaining to doctrinal and ethical concerns.
The Youth Speakers' Tournament is a program reserved for our oldest students. Speakers will be in the 10th - 12th grade and will write and present a 4 to 6 minute speech that represents their Biblical convictions in relation to certain pre-approved topics.

Vacation Bible School is an integral part of the ministry of our church. It is held annually during the summer school break. Exact dates vary from year to year, but it is always in the evening. It is a church-wide program, infants to adults. A light meal is served each evening before, with a light snack during our designated meeting time. Different activities such as games and crafts are planned to reinforce the lesson for the evening. See our church calendar for dates and times. This summer we are changing our format. We are going to be doing several Backyard Bible Clubs. If you are interested in hosting or attending one in your area please feel free to contact us.

Operation Christmas Child
Written by Administrator
Thursday, 30 December 2010 13:46
Operation Christmas Child was a wonderful time of packing simple shoe boxes with simple gifts in order that the greatest gift, Jesus Christ can be shared with others. Our church was blessed with the opportunity to pack and ship 610 boxes this year. We want God to get the glory for every toothbrush, bar of soap and every cent for shipping. These boxes have unlimited potential and reach into lives and homes we cannot. We are looking forward to what God has for us to do in 2012. Thank you so much to all who gave so generously.
